On the Cape, we’re pretty vulnerable to climate change. So it’s a good thing that so many great people here are working on increasing our resilience, moving us to renewable energy, learning how we can manage the changes for our fishing and other industries, and helping us drive down greenhouse gas emissions.

Every third Monday, Laura talks to an expert, politician, volunteer, activist, farmer, shellfisher, scientist, or planner about issues ranging from flooding to mosquitoes, to hear a bit of good news, learn what we can do to help ourselves and our communities, and share a laugh or two.

Laura is absolutely delighted to have found a home at WOMR for this antidote to climate angst.

Be A DJ

New volunteers are always welcome to begin the training process. No experience necessary. The Program Committee is now accepting proposals from trained volunteers to fill the following openings: the 3rd Sunday of each month from 9 to midnight, and 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month. There’s also an opening for a bluegrass DJ on the 3rd and 5th Wednesday of each month from 5-8pm. The station also welcomes proposals from people who would like to produce a 30 minute spoken word program on local issues. Get In the Groove

Donate your old records to WOMR or add to your collection with something from our online record store. Call the office or email Matty to arrange donation of your collection. We’ll even come pick them up if necessary.
